이번 프로젝트는 헤어샵의 서로 다른 기능을 가진 영역들이 하나의 공간적 흐름 안에서 관계를 맺어, 고객에게 보다 깊이 있는 서비스와 기존 헤어샵에서 느끼기 어려웠던 새로운 공간적 경험을 전달할 수 있기를 바라며 설계를 진행했습니다.
공간을 단순히 기능별로 분리하기보다 시선과 동선이 자연스럽게 이어지고, 고객이 이동하는 과정에서 각기 다른 공간과 분위기를 차례로 경험할 수 있도록 구성했습니다.
그 중심에는 큰 원형 공간을 배치해 넓은 살롱의 흐름을 정리하는 하나의 축을 만들었습니다. 주변의 시술 공간은 곡선과 빛의 흐름을 따라 자연스럽게 연결되며, 중앙을 중심으로 각각의 기능이 적절한 관계를 갖도록 계획했습니다.
특히 원형 공간 내부에는 헤어 스파를 위한 독립적인 공간을 구성했습니다. 살롱의 중심에 휴식과 케어를 위한 공간을 둠으로써 단순한 시술 공간을 넘어, 보다 깊이 있는 서비스를 제공하는 프리미엄 헤어살롱의 정체성을 담고자 했습니다.
스파 공간의 곡면 벽 전체는 편백나무로 마감해 들어서는 순간 은은한 편백 향을 느낄 수 있도록 했습니다. 여기에 곡면을 따라 부드럽게 번지는 간접조명과 자연을 연상시키는 음향을 더해, 향과 빛, 소리, 소재가 하나의 감각으로 이어지도록 계획했습니다.
마치 숲속에 들어와 잠시 쉬어가는 듯한 편안함 속에서 스파를 경험하고, 시술을 받는 시간을 넘어 고객이 머무는 시간 자체가 온전한 휴식으로 기억될 수 있는 공간을 완성하고자 했습니다.
This project began with the idea of allowing the different functions within the hair salon to exist in a continuous spatial flow, creating a deeper level of service and a new spatial experience beyond that of a conventional hair salon.
Rather than simply dividing the space according to function, the layout was designed so that sightlines and circulation flow naturally, allowing clients to experience a gradual transition in atmosphere as they move through the salon.
At the center, a large circular volume serves as the main spatial anchor, organizing the overall flow of the salon. The surrounding styling areas are connected through a continuous language of curves and light, creating a natural relationship between each function and the central space.
Within this circular volume, we created a dedicated hair spa. Placing a space for rest and care at the heart of the salon goes beyond functional planning—it expresses the identity of a premium hair salon that offers a more refined and immersive level of service.
The curved walls of the spa are entirely finished in hinoki cypress, allowing its subtle natural fragrance to be experienced as soon as clients enter. Soft indirect lighting follows the curved surfaces, while ambient sounds inspired by nature create an environment where scent, light, sound, and material come together as one sensory experience.
Like stepping into a quiet forest, the spa was designed to offer a moment of calm and restoration, transforming the time spent receiving a treatment into an experience of genuine rest and relaxation.
