AVELAUM CANALWAY은 기존 헤어살롱의 구조와 설비를 최대한 활용하면서도, 브랜드만의 독특한 공간적 인상을 이어가는 데 집중했습니다.
기존 설비 시스템으로 인해 샴푸실과 직원실의 위치를 변경하기 어려웠기 때문에, 배치는 유지하되 각 공간의 기능과 동선을 새롭게 정리했습니다.
주어진 조건을 단순히 감추기보다 새로운 마감과 조명, 구조적인 요소를 더해 AVELAUM만의 디자인 언어로 자연스럽게 풀어냈습니다.
외부 복도에서 매장 내부가 지나치게 노출되는 문제는 출입구 앞 대기공간에
라운드 파티션을 배치해 해결했습니다.
라운드 파티션은 외부의 시선을 부드럽게 차단하는 동시에, 고객의 출입 동선을 자연스럽게 유도하고 고객이 편안하게 머무를 수 있는 대기석의 역할을 합니다.
기존 출입구는 버려지는 공간이 너무 많아 전체 면적에 비해 공간 활용도가 낮았습니다.
이곳에 대기공간을 계획함으로써 버려지던 데드스페이스를 실용적인 영역으로 전환했습니다.
내부의 경대는 시술을 위한 가구이자 공간을 나누는 구조체로 계획했습니다.
벽체 사용을 최소화하고 서로 다른 형태와 방향의 경대를 배치해 각 시술 공간의 독립성을 확보하면서도,
매장 전체의 개방감은 유지했습니다.
스테인리스와 거울, 밝은 미장 질감을 중심으로 소재를 구성하고 반복되는 선형 조명을 통해 각각의 공간이 하나의 흐름으로 이어지도록 했습니다. 기존 공간이 가진 조건을 존중하면서 기능과 디자인의 균형을 새롭게 정리해, AVELAUM CANALWAY만의 정제된 분위기를 완성했습니다.
AVELAUM CANALWAY focused on preserving the existing structure and facilities of the hair salon while establishing a distinctive spatial identity that reflects the brand.
Due to the limitations of the existing building systems, relocating the shampoo area and staff room was not practical. Instead, their original positions were maintained while the functions and circulation of each area were thoughtfully reorganized.
Rather than simply concealing these constraints, new finishes, lighting, and architectural elements were introduced, transforming them into a natural expression of AVELAUM’s design language.
To prevent the interior from being overly exposed to the exterior corridor, a curved partition was placed around the waiting area near the entrance. The partition gently screens the interior from view while naturally guiding customer circulation and creating a comfortable place to wait.
The original entrance contained a considerable amount of unused space, resulting in poor spatial efficiency despite the salon’s generous floor area. By introducing a waiting area in this location, the previously underutilized space was transformed into a practical and purposeful zone.
Inside the salon, each styling station was designed not only as functional furniture but also as an architectural element that defines the surrounding space. By minimizing the use of solid walls and arranging styling stations in different forms and orientations, each service area maintains a sense of privacy while preserving the overall openness of the salon.
Stainless steel, mirrors, and bright textured plaster form the primary material palette, while repeated linear lighting visually connects the individual areas into a continuous spatial flow. By respecting the conditions of the existing space and carefully redefining the balance between function and design, AVELAUM CANALWAY achieves a refined atmosphere with a distinct identity.
