컷트강호 아카데미의 가장 중요한 설계 과제는 한정된 면적을 얼마나 유연하고 효율적으로 활용할 수 있는가였습니다.
고정된 벽으로 공간의 기능을 한정하기보다, 교육의 형태와 인원에 따라 공간 자체가 변화할 수 있도록 무빙월(Moving Wall)을 중심으로 전체 레이아웃을 계획했습니다.
평상시에는 각각의 독립된 강의실로 분리해 수업에 집중할 수 있는 환경을 만들고,
대규모 교육이나 세미나가 필요한 경우에는 무빙월을 개방해
여러 강의실이 하나의 넓은 교육공간으로 자연스럽게 확장됩니다.
단순히 공간을 나누는 파티션의 개념을 넘어, 하나의 공간이 필요에 따라 나뉘고
다시 연결되며 서로 다른 역할을 수행하는 것이 이 프로젝트의 핵심입니다.
노출 콘크리트와 스테인리스, 거울 등 절제된 소재를 사용하고 직선적인 조명과 반복되는 구조를 통해
공간에 명확한 질서와 리듬을 부여했습니다.
특히 거울과 금속의 반사를 활용해 공간이 분리되었을 때의 답답함을 줄이고,
전체를 개방했을 때는 시선이 연속적으로 이어지며 실제 면적보다 더욱 확장된 공간감을 느낄 수 있도록 계획했습니다.
결국 컷트강호 아카데미는 정해진 형태의 강의실을 만드는 것이 아니라,
교육 방식과 인원의 변화에 따라 공간의 크기와 역할까지 유연하게 변화하는 교육환경을 만드는 것에서 시작했습니다.
제한된 면적 안에서 공간의 활용 가능성을 극대화하고,
기능성과 확장성에 브랜드의 전문적인 이미지를 더해 완성한 헤어 아카데미 프로젝트입니다.
The key challenge of the KUTKANGHO Hair Academy project was how to maximize flexibility and efficiency within a limited space.
Rather than defining each area with fixed walls, the entire layout was designed around a movable wall system, allowing the space to adapt to different class formats and numbers of participants.
For everyday use, the space can be divided into independent classrooms, creating focused environments for individual sessions. For larger classes, seminars, or events, the movable walls can be opened to seamlessly connect multiple rooms into one expansive educational space.
More than simply dividing the space, the movable wall system allows a single environment to separate, reconnect, and take on different functions as needed—a concept that became central to the project.
A restrained palette of exposed concrete, stainless steel, and mirrors is combined with linear lighting and repetitive structural elements to create a clear sense of order and rhythm throughout the interior.
Reflections from mirrors and metallic surfaces reduce the visual boundaries when the rooms are divided, while creating greater depth and a stronger sense of openness when the entire space is connected.
Ultimately, KUTKANGHO Hair Academy was conceived not as a collection of fixed classrooms, but as a flexible educational environment that can continuously adapt its scale and function to different teaching methods and class sizes.
By maximizing the potential of a limited footprint, the project brings together functionality, flexibility, and the professional identity of the brand within a highly adaptable hair education space.
